On November 8, 2012 the Zimmer Children's Museum held its 12th Annual Discovery Award Dinner where Deborah Klein, Mort Marcus, Carrie Lieberman, and Sharon Sacks were honored at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

On November 9, 2011 the Zimmer Children's Museum held its 11th Annual Discovery Award Dinner where Andy Kaplan, Courtney Mizel, and Richard Smith were honored at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

On November 9, 2005 the Zimmer Children’s Museum held its 5th Annual Discovery Award Dinner where Jenna & Dan Adler and Jennifer Cohen were honored. The Discovery Award is given annually to extraordinary individuals who are builders and leaders in their fields and communities. Norman Lear and David Suissa presented the awards to the honorees.

On November 3, 2004 the Zimmer Children's Museum held its annual Discovery Award Dinner where Jerry & Gloria Lushing and Mark Itkin were honored. Jerry Springer was the Master of Ceremonies.

Our annual Discovery Award Dinner was held on November 6, 2003 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Friends celebrated the accomplishments of two incredible women, Barbara Fisher and Cynthia Sikes Yorkin, held live and silent auctions, and enjoyed the talents of Wil Shriner, Kathleen Madigan and Curtis Stigers.

On Thursday, November 7, 2002 guests gathered at the Beverly Hills Hotel for our second annual Discovery Award Dinner.  We had the privilege of honoring two exceptional people: director, Arthur Hiller and DIC Entertainment Chairman and CEO Andy Heyward.

Dr. Drew, host of MTV’s Loveline, served as Master of Ceremonies. Madeline and Strawberry Shortcake mingled with the guests, (courtesy of DIC Entertainment) while they bid on silent auction items and viewed examples of student artwork created through our youTHink program and A Child’s Playhouse:  Children’s Visions of Home Around the World. 

Writer Bruce Vilanch presented the Discovery Award to Arthur Hiller and Rick Rosen presented Andy Heyward with his award.

On Thursday, November 6, 2001 guests gathered at the Beverly Hills Hotel for our First Annual Discovery Award Dinner. We had the privilege of honoring two exceptional people:  Our Founding Chairperson, Jean Friedman and President and CEO of Sesame Workshop Gary E. Knell.
